Seb Larsson: “Without a doubt we had to work really hard, especially in the second half when they completely went for it and pushed a lot of people forward.
“In the first half especially I thought we played some great football – the best we’ve played this season.
“That’s the way [Gus Poyet] wants us to play and I think there were signs of improvement. After that first half we deserved the lead at half time.
“We didn’t quite carry that through to the second half but we showed a lot of determination and desire to see out the game.”
