Kovac eyes Sunderland move

Sunderland target Radoslav Kovac admits he would be interested in a move to the Stadium of Light. Kovac, 29, says he would welcome an approach from boss Steve Bruce in the summer transfer window. Having enjoyed a promising loan spell with West Ham last season, he is no stranger to the rigours of Premier League football. However, a move is not certain with Spartak Moscow issuing a £4million asking price to any interested parties. Bruce has other options in midfield but is said to be monitoring the situation. InterestedThe player's agent Viktor Kola told The Journal: "Radoslav would be interested in a move. "It would certainly be a solution he would welcome. He knows the history of the club so I believe that from his perspective there would certainly be interest if Sunderland did make a bid. "He realised that he can handle the level of English football and could make an impact in the Premier League. "He enjoyed his time in England and ideally wants to come back. If Sunderland made an offer of course he'd be interested." The Black Cats have been linked with a number of high-profile moves in the transfer window with Bruce putting together a long list of summer targets. Kola admits his client's desire is to return to the Premier League after his loan spell with West Ham came to a close. Waiting on an official approach, he said: "The contract with West Ham has run out so Radaslav will return to pre-season training with Spartak Moscow if nothing else happens. "But England would be his preferred place to stay."
