Former West Ham United loanee Radoslav Kovac is interested in a possible chance to return to the English Premier League with Sunderland.
The 29-year-old Czech Republic international is currently back with parent club Spartak Moscow but Kovac's agent, Viktor Kola, is hopeful of agreeing a deal with the Black Cats.
He told The Journal: "Radoslav would be interested in a move. It would certainly be a solution he would welcome.
"He realised that he can handle the level of English football and could make an impact in the Premier League.
"He enjoyed his time in England and ideally wants to come back. If Sunderland made an offer of course he'd be interested.
"The contract with West Ham has run out, so Radaslav will return to pre-season training with Spartak Moscow if nothing else happens.
"But England would be his preferred place to stay."
