Keane eyes five more signings
29 Jul 2008 - 09:08:41
Sunderland manager Roy Keane remains confident he will eventually sign Tottenham duo Steed Malbranque and Younes Kaboul and is hopeful of adding up to three more players to his squad.
Keane snapped up Bolton striker El Hadji Diouf on Monday but insists his summer spending spree is far from over.
"I think I'd like to bring in four or five more, including the two players from Tottenham," said the former Manchester United star.
"We will know on them (Kaboul and Malbranque) in the next 24 hours. It's a big decision for them, I appreciate that.
"I think the financial stuff is completed with Younes, but I think there are one or two things to be sorted out with Malbranque, which will probably be through his agent.
"It gets to a point where you need to know. I think I waited five weeks for David Nugent - I won't be waiting five weeks for anyone this season.
"I know we're the only club that's agreed a fee with Tottenham for Kaboul because we're in constant conversation with them. But I know the way the game works."
