Keane confident of survival

Manager Roy Keane is confident of survival despite Sunderland extending their winless run to four matches with Saturday's narrow defeat by Chelsea. The Black Cats remained just two points clear of the relegation zone following a 1-0 defeat at the Stadium of Light, but Keane was full of praise for the effort and commitment on show. He said: "Chelsea took their chance, we didn't take ours and that's why they're going for titles and the European Cup. "I'm sure the Chelsea manager will be happy winning 1-0 - a lot of these top teams are capable of winning 1-0 and that's the difference. "I analyse it and look at our own players and our performance and, as I said, we showed some quality today. "I'm happy with the players. You have to get the balance right and today we had a decent balance to us and credit to the players for that. "If we keep persevering from now until the end of the season, I'm pretty sure we'll be fine."
