Keane calms Jones fears

Sunderland manager Roy Keane is confident that Kenwyne Jones will be fit enough to play in this weekend's crunch Premier League clash with Derby County after the former Southampton striker was able to train on Tuesday.

Keane has also promised that he will make changes to the team that crashed to a 7-1 defeat at Everton on Saturday.

He told the club's official website: "Kenwyne is full steam ahead and we picked up no more fresh injuries from the weekend.

"There's a good chance I will make one or two changes to freshen it up and give the lads who have been waiting in the wings an opportunity.

"I never saw Saturday coming but it did come and it's gone now. It's important that we move on very quickly, for everyone, not least myself."

Meanwhile, Ricky Sbragia has returned to the Stadium of Light in a coaching capacity.

Sbragia spent eight years with the Black Cats between 1994 and 2002 before leaving for Manchester United and then Bolton, where he was the first-team coach.
