Jones expects to face Reds

Sunderland striker Kenwyne Jones is confident that he will be fit to face Liverpool next Tuesday.[LNB] The Black Cats ace picked up a slight knock to his knee during last weekend's goalless draw at Arsenal.[LNB]However, he has joined his team-mates on a training break to Spain and fully expects to be in contention when Ricky Sbragia's side head to Anfield.[LNB]"It's a bit sore but I'm getting treatment and I'm pretty sure I'll be fine for the Liverpool game," Jones told the club's official website.[LNB]Sbragia is refusing to rule the Trinidad & Tobago international in or out of his plans for the trip to Merseyside and will check on Jones' condition nearer the time.[LNB]No rushHe said: "Kenwyne has not trained since the game. We are nursing him through. We will have to see how he is later in the week."[LNB]The Sunderland boss is also waiting on the fitness of Jones' strike partner Djibril Cisse.[LNB]The Frenchman is currently nursing an ankle injury sustained in training, but looks set to be given the all-clear to face his former club next week.[LNB]Sbragia added: "It looks like Djib will be okay.[LNB]"We won't take any risks, but he has done some running and he was fine."[LNB]
