Jackett denys Trotter talk

Millwall manager Kenny Jackett has moved swiftly to reject reports claiming Sunderland have expressed an interest in midfielder Liam Trotter. Trotter, 22, only joined the Lions on a permanent basis from Ipswich during the summer after a successful loan spell at The Den last season, and his impressive displays have apparently attracted the attention of the Black Cats. However, Jackett told News Shopper: "I've had no contact from Sunderland, or any calls. People did tell me that was in the papers and I have seen it but we've had no contact from anybody at all about Liam. "I wouldn't welcome any move and we are not under any pressure to sell any of my players. We want to build and improve and certainly don't want to weaken. "It isn't something which is on my mind and I can only go on solid phonecalls and contact. "We as a club and myself as a manager have had no contact from anybody about any of our players, including Liam Trotter."
