Is It Too Early To Rush Back Rose?

Matthew Kilgallon and Danny Rose are set to ease Martin O'Neill's personnel worries by returning to the Sunderland squad for the trip to Queen's Park Rangers.

Defender Kilgallon is back in the fold after missing last week's draw with Fulham due to illness, while Rose could also figure after coming through a training match this week following a hamstring strain.

O'Neill has signalled his intention to bring striker Connor Wickham back to the Stadium of Light after his loan spell at Sheffield Wednesday, but Wickham will not be available to figure on Saturday.

QPR boss Harry Redknapp will make a late decision on the fitness of Julio Cesar and Bobby Zamora.

Brazil international Cesar had to be replaced in the second half of last weekend's 2-1 win at Southampton following a heavy collision, while Zamora remains doubtful with the ankle injury that has kept him out of that match.

Both players were due to take part in training today with Robert Green, who made a vital late save after coming on at St Mary's, ready to fill in again if required.
