Is it time for Bruce to go?

Something has to change.

After yet another defeat from a team that if we have any real chance of making our stamp in this league we really should be beating especially at home!   Seeing that we could have been four nil up at half time is no consolation when you realise that Sunderland just doesn’t have an out and out goal scorer, and what makes that even harder to swallow is the fact Bruce let not one but two prolific strikers go.  Yet his excuses pretty much always come back to blaming the players, the players that majority of which he brought in and let’s face facts it’s not like Mr Short has been tight fisted with signing the cheques.  On paper the team is not bad at all, every position has a premier league experienced player to cover (barring of course that out and out striker role).

So where does the problem lie, surely when you have a manager that has been backed like Bruce has been, given both time and the money to buy in players the buck has to stop with him.  Was his worst mistake letting go of Darren Bent or even worse still letting go of his replacement Asamoah Gyan on loan to  a club with all due respect a not very well known club either.

With January quickly coming up and another transfer window to open, would Bruce be able to find the man who could just save just Sunderland career, or will Ellis Short give him his cards before then leaving any possible manager to have a bit time or even more so would Ellis yet again put his hand in his pocket for Bruce.
