Irish exile Reid refuses to give in as Bruce urges star to forget latest snub

Sunderland manager Steve Bruce has urged Andy Reid to forget his World Cup heartache following Giovanni Trapattoni's latest snub, as the Dubliner insists he will not close the door his international career despite his current exile.

Bruce admitted he is mystified by the midfielder's continued omission, while an upbeat Reid says he will not let the Italian coach's decision affect hissuperb form at Sunderland following another man of the matchperformance at the weekend.
