Ipswich Town have confirmed the signings of Sunderland pair Carlos Edwards and Grant Leadbitter. Skysports.com revealed earlier on Tuesday that Leadbitter had sealed his move but the Tractor Boys waited until both deals had been finalised before announcing the signings. Both players were integral members of the Black Cats squad which won promotion from the Championship under now Ipswich boss Roy Keane in 2007. Leadbitter is believed to have joined for a reported fee of around £2.65million penning a three-year contract in the process. 30-year-old Edwards is thought to have cost the Tractor Boys £1.35million signing a two-year deal. Leadbitter will join up with the his new team-mates immediately while Edwards is set to arrive in Ipswich after the international break, where he is on duty for Trinidad & Tobago, prior to the Middlesbrough game on Saturday 12th.
