Sunderland midfielder Jordan Henderson is relishing the chance to further his football education on the international stage.[LNB] The 20-year-old is in the England Under-21 squad for their qualifiers against Portugal and Lithuania, a reward for the form he has shown at club level in the last year.[LNB]But while he is thrilled at the prospect of adding to his single cap to date, he also cannot wait to return and pitch himself into battle for the Black Cats at Wigan.[LNB]Henderson told the Sunderland's official website: "I'm really looking forward to it.[LNB]"Going away to Portugal for a qualifier will be a great experience for me, then we have got Lithuania at home, which is a big game too. Playing in a different team alongside different players helps me to learn. I'm going to go there, work hard and keep my head down.[LNB]"I'm looking forward to the experience - but I'm also looking forward to the Wigan game when I come back."
