Fulham striker David Healy claims he is not seeking a move but has welcomed reports which suggest Sunderland are keen to sign him.
The 29-year-old Northern Ireland international struggled for starting opportunities following Roy Hodgson's arrival as manager at Craven Cottage midway through last season.
Healy found the net just six times last year during a frustrating campaign and has admitted he needs to do better this season.
But following reports suggesting Sunderland boss Roy Keane wants to sign him, the former Manchester United trainee has admitted a fresh start would be appealing.
"I'm not angling for a move but if the opportunity arose before the deadline and if something were to happen and Fulham give me the green light, then who knows?" he said.
"Anybody that doesn't play week in, week out is obviously going to be disappointed."
