Healy - Jones is priceless
David Healy believes that Sunderland will not regret turning down a big-money deal for striker Kenwyne Jones.[LNB] The Black Cats chose to keep Jones at the Stadium of Light during the transfer window despite multi-million pound offers and a Darren Bent exchange deal from Tottenham.[LNB]The Trinidad and Tobago striker repaid the faith shown in him by sending Sunderland on their way to victory over Stoke with a 78th minute header and Healy believes such goals are priceless in the relegation fight.[LNB]"Both Kenwyne and Djibril (Cisse) are popping up with very important goals for us," Healy told the Sunderland Echo.[LNB]Ambitious"The fact the club turned down a very big bid and the chance to bring a player of Darren Bent's quality here shows just how highly everyone rates Kenwyne.[LNB]"He did it again on Saturday, and these are goals that should hopefully end up keeping this club in the Premier League. You can't put a value on that.[LNB]"We are not a one-man team, but the determination of Sunderland to keep hold of their best players shows how ambitious the club is to not just be survivors at this level, but really make a mark."[LNB]FightSunderland's 2-0 win on Saturday propelled them seven points clear of the drop zone, but with away trips to Arsenal and Liverpool coming up Healy insists that Sunderland are still firmly in the relegation fight.[LNB]"We were pleased to see the league table and that we are up to 11th, but we are by no means safe," he added.[LNB]"We have to keep grinding out results and believe we can go away and take something from the top five or six clubs."[LNB]
