Gyan looks set for Black Cats bow

Asamoah Gyan looks set to be thrown straight into Sunderland's starting line-up for Saturday's Premier League clash with Wigan at DW Stadium.[LNB] Gyan is available for the first time since completing his £13million-plus switch from French club Rennes, although Steve Bruce is yet to decide on whether to start him or not.[LNB]If Gyan is thrown straight in, he could replace Fraizer Campbell, who will undergo surgery to repair his damaged cruciate ligament next Friday before embarking on a six-month period of rehabilitation.[LNB]Nedum Onuoha is available again after being ineligible for the 1-0 win over parent club Manchester City and John Mensah (hamstring) is fit, while both Andy Reid and George McCartney have two reserve games under their belt and return to contention.[LNB]But Michael Turner (ankle) could be sidelined for several weeks and Craig Gordon (broken arm) and David Meyler (knee) remain on the sidelines.[LNB]Black Cats (from): Mignolet, Carson, Onuoha, Bardsley, Richardson, Ferdinand, McCartney, Angeleri, Mensah, Bramble, Da Silva, Cattermole, Riveros, Henderson, Malbranque, Elmohamady, Zenden, Colback, Reid, Bent, Gyan, Welbeck.
