Gyan happy to shoulder striking responsibilites

ASAMOAH Gyan has no problems with being Sunderland's main man - despite the Black Cats' third successive defeat.[LNB] Gyan was Sunderland's only goalscorer on Saturday afternoon, with the hosts taking the lead after the Ghanaian's smart turn and finish.[LNB] But Michael Dawson's equaliser and Niko Kranjcar's volley ensured that Sunderland's winless record at home stretched into a sixth week.[LNB] Gyan said: "It was a good goal and I am so happy to have scored that kind of goal. It led to nothing which is why I am disappointed, but it was a great goal."[LNB] "It is quite frustrating because we lost in the same way at Stoke when we dominated the game, but all of a sudden we were beaten. That is what happened against Spurs. We took control of the first half and went a goal up. We came back strongly in the second half but conceded a goal again. It is so frustrating, but that's football."[LNB] Gyan has been Sunderland's lone striker since Darren Bent's departure three weeks ago, but the 24-year-old does not feel any extra pressure on his shoulders.[LNB] He added: "I don't doubt my quality whether I am playing with one striker or two, I will just keep on going, but for the team it is sad because we have lost three in a row. [LNB] "Personally I think our game is very impressive. The whole team is doing well, but it is quite frustrating that we are giving away silly goals. We are playing well, so we are annoyed."[LNB]
