Giovanni Trapattoni: John O'Shea target is Republic of Ireland play-off second leg

Fitness race: Sunderland defender John O'Shea[LNB]Republic of Ireland manager Giovanni Trapattoni has not given up hope of having defender John O'Shea available for the second leg of the Euro 2012 play-off against Estonia. [LNB]The Sunderland full-back has been ruled out of the first game in Tallinn on Friday night, but Trapattoni is hoping he could be fit for the return in Dublin on Tuesday week. [LNB]Trapattoni said: 'We will wait for John O'Shea. He is not fit for this [the first] game, but he will come with us on Saturday.'[LNB] However, having already had to rule out Shane Long and Liam Lawrence, the Italian was awaiting news of Newcastle striker Leon Best.
