Hungarian goalkeeper Marton Fulop has signed a new three-and-a-half year contract with Sunderland.[LNB] The deal will keep the reliable shot-stopper at Stadium of Light until the summer of 2012.[LNB]Fulop is currently keeping £9million man Craig Gordon out of Ricky Sbragia's side, benefiting from the Scot's mid-season injury.[LNB]He has started 20 of the club's last 22 games and admits he had no qualms with extending his stay on Wearside.[LNB]Fulop said: "I am delighted to sign. I am pleased with the progress the club has made and I am delighted that I got my chance in the team. I am happy to commit."[LNB]The 25-year-old joined Sunderland from Tottenham in November 2005 as part of the deal which took Ben Alnwick in the opposite direction.[LNB]He has been forced to bide his time since as he waited for his opportunity to arise, but has greatly impressed everyone connected with the Black Cats this term.[LNB]Sbragia said: "Marton has been excellent and this is reward for him.[LNB]"You need two top-class keepers and we think we have got that. They will push each other to higher levels."[LNB]
