Ex-Chairman Sir Tom Cowie has died at the age of 89 at his County Durham home.

He was Chairman of the Black Cats in the easily 80’s, his rain spanned 6 years, and will be remembered for bring Lawrie McMenemy to the driving seat of Sunderland AFC.
