Ferdinand worry for Black Cats

Sunderland manager Steve Bruce revealed defender Anton Ferdinand picked up a hamstring injury in Saturday's 2-1 friendly success at Leicester.[LNB] Goals from Fraizer Campbell and Jordan Henderson gave the Wearsiders victory - just two weeks before they kick off their Premier League campaign at home to Birmingham.[LNB]Ferdinand was replaced by Phil Bardsley just 20 minutes into the match against the Championship side at the Walkers Stadium and Bruce said afterwards: "He has a hamstring injury and we'll look at that."[LNB]With fellow central defender Michael Turner suspended for Sunderland's first two matches of the season, Bruce added on Sky Sports News: "It's a worry for us - we'll see how bad it is over the next 24-48 hours."[LNB]
