Eagles boss keen on Stokes swoop

Crystal Palace manager Neil Warnock has revealed he hopes to try and sign Sunderland striker Anthony Stokes permanently in the summer. The 20-year-old is on loan at Selhurst Park until the end of the season and has impressed since arriving at the club.Warnock admits that he will only be signing players on free transfers which could make a move for Stokes difficult with Sunderland likely to command a fee for a player they paid £2million for from Arsenal in 2007."We won't be buying anyone in the summer, just getting Bosmans in," Warnock told the Croydon Guardian."We might be able to do a deal with Sunderland though so we shall see, but I think there will be quite a lot of players looking for jobs this summer."[LNB]
