Duo return for Carling Cup clash
Sunderland boss Steve Bruce will welcome back Lee Cattermole and Michael Turner from suspension for Tuesday's Carling Cup tie with Colchester.[LNB] Cattermole missed Saturday's 1-0 Premier League defeat at West Brom after being sent off during the opening day draw with Birmingham, while Turner completed a two-match ban dating back to last season.[LNB]Andy Reid and Anton Ferdinand could return from hamstring problems, but John Mensah will miss out with a similar injury and George McCartney (ankle), Craig Gordon (fractured arm) and David Meyler (knee) remain on the sidelines.[LNB]Sunderland (from): Mignolet, Carson, Onouha, Bardsley, Richardson, Bramble, Turner, Da Silva, Ferdinand, Cattermole, Elmohamady, Henderson, Malbranque, Riveros, Zenden, Reid, Colback, Angeleri, Bent, Campbell, Welbeck, Waghorn.
