Darlington trialists Darren Williams and Paul Arnison are hoping to impress manager Colin Todd when the Quakers take on Sunderland on Thursday night. Former Hartlepool and Sunderland defender Williams, 32, and Arnison, 31, who has been released by Bradford, have been training with Todd's squad this week. Arnison is hoping to team back up with former Carlisle team-mates Chris Lumsdon and Jeff Smith by earning a permanent deal at the Northern Echo Arena. Quakers youngsters Curtis Main, Josh Gray, Danny Groves and Danny Riley will all be given another run-out against the Black Cats after being involved in Monday night's friendly win at Blyth.
