Diouf keen for Roy to stay
03 Nov 2008 - 11:35:12
Sunderland striker El Hadji Diouf hopes Roy Keane pens a new long-term contract with the club shortly.
Keane insists he is in no rush to commit his future to the Black Cats, even though his current Stadium of Light deal expires at the end of this season.
However, former Senegal international Diouf, told Sky Sports News: "Of course, I hope Roy Keane stays here more than four years because I have a four-year contract.
"That is why I came here because of him. He is a great manager and I want to see him on my back during training - I know this is the team for him too.
"The thing that impressed me was that there is nobody else like him - I played against him for Manchester United against Liverpool.
"But he is a nice guy, nice manager because he knows football - he has played at the highest level and he knows football. Everything he asks on the pitch he knows about."
