Crusty Sunderland keeper Simon Mignolet reveals: I'm fed-up eating nothing but pies

Sunderland keeper Simon Mignolet has launched a swipe at English cuisine - claiming he is given nothing to eat but pies. The Belgium international has been a success at the Stadium of Light since his £2m summer move from Sint Truiden. However Mignolet, 22, said he has struggled to adapt to the food on Wearside, insisting it has prompted him to learn how to cook. 'You have to learn to do everything - cook your own meals, do your laundry and ironing.  That is not always easy.' Mignolet's comments may prove hard for his fans to swallow, with the Belgian diet not best known for its healthy nature.
