Come back, Arsenal! Bordeaux drop Chamakh price and say sorry to Bruce

Bordeaux president Jean-Louis Triaud has challenged Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger to raise his £6.5m offer for  Marouane Chamakh and has apologised to Steve Bruce after suggesting the striker was too good for Sunderland. The French club hope to revive talks with Arsenal as they desperately try to offload the Morocco striker, while also listening to interest from Sunderland and Blackburn Rovers. The player's first choice are the Gunners, but Arsenal balked when told to more than double their £6million to £15m. The 25-year-old is out of contract next summer, when he could walk away for nothing, and has told Bordeaux he will not be accepting their renewal offer.
