Coleman mulling over Healy options

Coventry boss Chris Coleman may make a loan move for Sunderland striker David Healy but admits the chances of resurrecting a deal are slim. Coleman spoke to Healy at the end of the summer transfer window regarding a possible agreement but a deal could not be thrashed out. Healy, 30, has failed to start a single league match at the Stadium of Light since signing for the club in August 2008 while Coleman is keen to boost his lightweight forward line, with the loan window now open. Asked whether he would go back in for the Northern Ireland international, Coleman told the Coventry Telegraph: "Possibly, maybe. I had a conversation with Sunderland about David but I can't say we were even near to doing a deal. We had a conversation about a possible loan but that's as far as it went. "We obviously know all about the player but the one deal that suited us apparently didn't suit the player, so as far as I am concerned, unless it is resurrected, at the minute it is dead in the water. "But knowing football, stranger things have happened."
