Colback targets regular run

Jack Colback is hoping he can follow in the footsteps of fellow Sunderland youth product Jordan Henderson and establish himself in the first team. Henderson, 20, has already made a senior start for England on the back of his brilliant form for the Black Cats and has been linked with a move to one of the Barclays Premier League's top sides. Colback's aims are more modest but, after starting Sunderland's last two games alongside Henderson, the 21-year-old is hoping he can finish the season strongly. Colback was delighted to see his team-mate score twice in Saturday's 4-2 win over Wigan, and told the club`s official website: "If Jordan had any doubters he well and truly proved them wrong. I'm over the moon for him. "He's always created for us and it was great to see him get two goals. I'm delighted to see him doing well. Hopefully I have proved one or two of my doubters wrong too and shown I can cut it at this level. "But I am not getting too carried away. I will keep my head down and take each game as it comes. Hopefully I can keep my place from now until the end of the season."
