Djibril Cisse has told Sky Sports News of his desire to remain in England on a permanent basis.[LNB] The French striker is currently on a season-long loan at North East outfit Sunderland.[LNB]That agreement is set to expire in the summer, with indication as yet whether Cisse will be remaining on Wearside.[LNB]The current economic climate has seen the Black Cats err on the side of caution until their Premier League status for next season is secured.[LNB]Cisse admits he would be open to penning a full-time deal at the Stadium of Light having enjoyed his time at the club this year, but accepts that he must be patient.[LNB]PreferenceThere is no guarantee such a move will materialise, but the colourful 27-year-old has made it clear that his future lies in the Premier League and not back in his homeland with parent club Marseille.[LNB]"To be honest I would prefer to stay in the Premier League. If it is going to be Sunderland, I don't know at the moment," Cisse told Sky Sports News.[LNB]"We don't know if we are going to stay up, but I think we will.[LNB]"But then it is down to the board to make a decision. I am waiting for a transfer or talks.[LNB]"No disrespect to Marseille or the public, because I have a good relationship with them and I still have a lot of friends there, but I think my heart is in England and in the Premier League."[LNB]
