Chamakh - Time to move on

// A bit of a hack but it works// The article snippet is wrapped onto a second line, even when #article-sub is emptyif( $("div#article-sub").children().length == 0 ) {$("div#article-sub").remove();} Bordeaux striker Marouane Chamakh is eager to put his summer transfer saga behind him but still hopes of a future move to the Premier League. Arsenal were thought to be in prime position to capture the Morocco international's signature but their bid was rejected by the French champions. Sunderland and West Ham were also reported to be in the chase as Chamakh did not hide his intentions to play in England's top tier. But Bordeaux could not reach a deal with any of the involved clubs and, although he is still thinking of a move to the Premier League, the 25-year-old is trying to forget this summer's episode. "I'm trying to get over it," Chamakh told France Football. "It's clear that it wasn't easy. My main desire was to leave. I'm trying to put all this behind me. Unhappy"I never thought that I wasn't paid my true value. I never complained about that. "When I revealed my wish to leave, people talked on my behalf, but as for myself, I was never thinking about the four great clubs in England. "In my head I wanted simply to join the Premier League. I don't know if I should be unhappy that Arsenal didn't make a higher bid or because Bordeaux didn't accept their first offer." Chamakh's contract expires at the end of the season, with the front-man being free to talk to other clubs from January onwards. Although he has made it clear that he wants to move away from the Ligue 1 club, Chamakh says he will still consider the offer from his current employers. He added: "At the moment, of course, my desire is not to extend my contract but I paid a price to learn that it is better not to close doors. "If a decision has to be made it will be after the Champions League group stages."
