Chamakh taking his time

Bordeaux striker Marouane Chamakh has reiterated that he will take his time before deciding whether to leave the French champions. Chamakh has been tipped to move to the Premier League this summer, with Arsenal and Sunderland rumoured to be leading the chase. The Morocco international has not ruled out a move to the Stadium of Light, despite Bordeaux president Jean-Louis Triaud claiming Sunderland are not a big enough club. Reports have also claimed that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger could swoop for Chamakh as a replacement for the Manchester City-bound Emmanuel Adebayor. The 25-year-old confirmed he is wanted by clubs in England, and is determined to make the right choice if he decides to quit Bordeaux. "I have good contacts from clubs and the possibility to join a Premier League club," Chamakh told Le Parisien. "Sunderland is a big club and the fanbase is almost as big as anything. "I will take my time because there is some very interesting interest and I have to make the best choice."
