LEE Cattermole has passed a pre-match fitness test and will line up for Sunderland in this afternoon's game at Fulham.
The Black Cats skipper has been nursing an injured knee, but has recovered sufficiently to start at Craven Cottage.
Cattermole replaces Irish winger James McClean, who drops down to the substitutes' bench after starting last weekend's defeat at Everton.
Sunderland boss Martin O'Neill has made two changes in total, with Phil Bardsley replacing Craig Gardner at right-back.
Yesterday's results mean that the Wearsiders are only outside the Premier League relegation places on goal difference after claiming just one league victory so far this season.
