SUNDERLAND remain in the hunt for Tottenham's Niko Kranjcar.[LNB] The Croatian midfielder is available and Bruce has expressed an interest in taking him on loan.[LNB] And Kranjcar's advisor has indicated that his player is closing in on a switch to the Stadium of Light, despite interest from Roma.[LNB] But Sunderland have been maintaining that they need to move more players on before they can make any further additions.[LNB] Talking to the Italian media, the 27-year-old's agent, Adrian Alja, said: "There was some contact with the Roma hierarchy around May, but nothing more.[LNB] "We're going to close with Sunderland, who should have almost reached agreement with Tottenham. I think it's the best solution for Niko, as he has always wanted to stay in the Premier League."[LNB]
