SUNDERLAND boss Steve Bruce expects to make a twin transfer breakthrough in the next couple of days with Argentina international right-back Marcos Angeleri and Belgium Under-21 goalkeeper Simon Mignolet poised to agree terms with the Wearside outfit.[LNB] Bruce turned his attentions to £3m-rated Angeleri after being put off by Tottenham's refusal to lower their £9m asking price for Alan Hutton.[LNB] Despite Hutton impressing while on loan at the Stadium of Light last season, Sunderland were unwilling to match Spurs' valuation.[LNB] Angeleri, 27, boasts almost 200 appearances for Argentine Primera Division side Estudiantes and was a surprise omission from Diego Maradona's World Cup squad.[LNB] Mignolet will provide back-up to first choice keeper Craig Gordon next season after Sunderland agreed a fee thought to be around £2m with Belguim's St-Truidense.[LNB]
