Sunderland keeper Craig Gordon has revealed that he hopes to be back in action by the end of the month.[LNB] The Scot is currently recovering from a fractured arm he sustained over the summer, shortly after undergoing surgery to help aid his rehabilitation from a similar problem.[LNB]The injury has prevented Gordon from starting the new Premier League season in the Sunderland first-team and has forced him to miss Scotland's Euro 2012 qualifying openers.[LNB]He is, however, closing on a comeback and believes he can see light at the end of the tunnel.[LNB]The former Hearts shot-stopper is wary of rushing back too soon and causing himself further damage, but admits he is itching to get back out on the field.[LNB]He sees no reason why, provided everything goes to plan, he cannot be back in contention for club and country in a little over three weeks.[LNB]"I've been working in the gym and I hope to have done a bit of handling by the end of this week," Gordon said in the Daily Record.[LNB]"I should soon be diving and it's a case of building it up.[LNB]"All being well, I'll be ready to start playing by the end of this month."
