Cats confirm interest in Welbeck
Assistant boss Eric Black has confirmed Sunderland's interest in Manchester United's Danny Welbeck - but doesn't expect a deal to happen soon.[LNB] Black admits that Black Cats boss Steve Bruce has set his sights on luring Welbeck to the North-East - but admitted it could be some time before anything is tied up with the frontman.[LNB]He said: "It's still ongoing. The manager has stated he [Welbeck] is somebody he would certainly like to have in the squad, but Manchester United are in the States at the moment for another couple of weeks, so I don't imagine it will happen in the next week or two."[LNB]
