John Mensah's agent is confident his client will be heading back to Sunderland next season with a second loan spell close to being finalised.[LNB] The Ghanaian centre-half spent the 2009/10 campaign on loan at the Stadium of Light from French giants Lyon.[LNB]He did enough during his time with the club to suggest that he is more than capable of mixing it with the Premier League elite.[LNB]Niggling knocks have dissuaded Steve Bruce from making a permanent move for Mensah this summer, but he is keen to have the experienced back in his ranks.[LNB]Talks regarding another short-term deal have been ongoing for some time, but appear to be edging towards a conclusion.[LNB]It is now expected that Mensah will be a Sunderland player by the time they kick-off the 2010/11 campaign against Birmingham on August 14.[LNB]"There are negotiations going on at the moment," said Mensah's agent Fabian Pivateau.[LNB]"I think everything will be finalised by the middle of next week."
