Cana, Cattermole and Bent all start for Sunderland

SUNDERLAND boss Steve Bruce has named three of his summer signings in the starting line-up for this afternoon's Premier League opener at Bolton. Darren Bent, Lee Cattermole and Lorik Cana all start at the Reebok Stadium. Cattermole and Cana will form a new-look central midfield partnership, while Bent will play alongside Kenwyne Jones in attack. Bruce has named Jones in his side despite the striker only returning from international duty with Trinidad & Tobago yesterday morning. Anton Ferdinand partners Danny Collins at the back, with George McCartney and Phil Bardsley filling the full-back berths.
