Campbell at all-time low

Sunderland striker Fraizer Campbell says his current injury lay-off is the lowest point of his career. Campbell, who signed for the Black Cats from Manchester United in 2003, has been recovering from cruciate ligament damage since suffering the injury against Manchester City in August. The 23-year-old is not expected to be back in competitive action until the new year and concedes the spell on the sidelines has been hard to cope with. "When I went home after the game it didn't feel too bad," he told the club`s official website. "The scan wasn't too bad either, but when I had it the doctor said I would be out for six months and it really hit me that night. "That was probably the lowest point of my career but I just had to sweep it under the carpet and get on with it. You don't get better by dwelling on things."
