WOLVERHAMPTON Wanderers boss Mick McCarthy became embroiled in a war of words with the Sunderland bench towards the end of yesterday's game.[LNB] But the former Black Cats boss was quick to play down the incident.[LNB] He said: It was competitive and I was competitive.[LNB] But we all had a beer afterwards and there were no problems at all.'' Wolves won 2-1 and Mc- Carthy revealed that his side's match winner Adlene Guedioura would still be at the club next season with his club having taken up an option to make his loan deal from Belgian club Charleroi permanent.[LNB] McCarthy said: It (the deal) is done now, it's all sorted. I know he's a good player and he's come from Charleroi and really added something to the Premier League. He's a lovely fellow and a good player.'' McCarthy said he was delighted to see his side end their satisfying season with a victory and belived it would give them a kick-start when they return for pre-season training at the end of June.[LNB] McCarthy added: Everyone was going to be happy whatever happened today but we wanted to finish with a flourish. It leaves a nice taste in the mouth and means we will not come back with any negative thoughts.[LNB] I think Sunderland started the game really well and we looked second beest for a short while. They were probably the dominant team for 20 minutes but we dominated the second half and deserved the victory.''[LNB]
