Sunderland manager Steve Bruce spent four years as a teenager at Burnley before he was thrown out and left to contemplate a life on the Wearside shipyards. He does not expect Turf Moor to have changed a great deal since he was turfed out by then manager Joe Brown. Bruce cleaned the dressing rooms and swept the terraces at the East Lancashire ground which criticised by his former Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson following his side's shock 1-0 defeat to the Clarets last month. The Black Cats boss has made a conscious effort to prepare his team for Saturday's trip to the newly promoted side who have won both their home encounters 1-0 against the champions and Everton.
