Bruce wants more threat

// A bit of a hack but it works// The article snippet is wrapped onto a second line, even when #article-sub is emptyif( $("div#article-sub").children().length == 0 ) {$("div#article-sub").remove();} Sunderland boss Steve Bruce wants his Black Cats to show more threat in attack. The Black Cats have only scored 70 goals in 76 games during their first two seasons back in the Premier League. This term, they have found the net four times in four games but Bruce wants more from his players. He is looking for his side to attack quickly and create more chances in front of goal. ImportantHe told the Sunderland Echo: "I do think it is important to create more chances than we have been doing and for that we need to get the ball into the danger areas more often. "Sometimes that will mean that we have to get the ball up to the main striker very quickly and if that means launching it, then fair enough, but there are other ways of getting the ball forward quickly. "You can also attack down the sides - get it out to the wings and put crosses in regularly. "What I am talking about is getting the ball forward quickly and get it into the danger areas as much as possible because it was a feature of Sunderland's season last season that they played some really lovely football, great stuff to watch but didn't really hurt the opposition enough."
