Bruce is still 'perfect' at Sunderland, insists Quinn after Chelsea mauling

Niall Quinn insists Steve Bruce is still 'the perfect manager' for Sunderland, despite Saturday's 7-2 thrashing at Chelsea and a run of one win in 12. Bruce is under increasing pressure from unhappy Sunderland supporters after losing ground in the Premier League following their early season promise and home wins over Arsenal and Liverpool. But Sunderland chairman Quinn has insisted the pair are building for the future and will not be sidebracked by the miserable defeat at Stamford Bridge. 'A day like yesterday hurts, but it's also a true test,' said Quinn. 'I know one thing - Steve is the perfect man for our club and I mean that. I'm not here to pat him on the back and I'm saying that the day after a horrific result.
