The Black Cats made easy work of the Canaries at Carrow Road, thrashing their opponents 4-1 on Monday evening. Man-of-the-match Andy Reid took full advantage of his chance to impress, scoring a brace in his second start this term. Goalkeeper Craig Gordon put in an equally impressive performance, pulling off a number of good saves throughout the match, leaving Bruce with a few selection headaches. Not complaining, he admitted his delight in seeing both players back to their best in what was a solid all-round performance. "Reid played incredibly well and Craig made a number of really good saves. It bodes well," he told Sky Sports. Headache"It gives me a headache - the players have responded magnificently over the last few weeks. "When you see people playing like that, with the enthusiasm they've shown, they've obviously asked a few questions." He added: "Reid has made sure that he is back at his best, nobody can ever question his ability. "He's worked tremendously well - fair play to him." Asked about his preparations ahead of the third round, he added: "This competition - we've got to try and treat it seriously. "We're entered in three competitions and we can only realistically win two of them. "Who knows. If we get a nice draw then we'll see. "Tonight has given me a chance to look at all the players and they've played great. We'll see."
