Steve Bruce has warned Sunderland to be on their guard against Burnley when the two clubs go head to head at the Stadium of Light on Saturday.[LNB] The Black Cats missed the opportunity to build on their 3-1 win over Tottenham as relegation-threatened West Ham recorded a 1-0 victory on Saturday at the same time lowly Burnley won 4-1 at Hull to end their away hoodoo and boost their own hopes of safety.[LNB]Playing teams scrapping for survival at the foot of the table is always difficult and Bruce is wary ahead of Saturday's clash on Wearside.[LNB]"They'll be boosted by that result and it gives them a little lifeline," said Bruce.[LNB]"We know from games like the West Ham one that when you're playing against teams fighting for their lives, it's never easy."[LNB]Following the Clarets clash, Sunderland complete their season with matches against Hull, Manchester United and Wolves.[LNB]
