Bruce tips Elmohamady to shine

Sunderland boss Steve Bruce is hoping for big things from Egypt international winger Ahmed Elmohamady. The 23-year-old has made a promising start to his career in England after sealing a summer loan move to the Stadium of Light from ENPPI. Pacy and direct, Elmohamady still has much to learn about the rigors of the Barclays Premier League, but Bruce has been impressed with what he has seen so far. He said: "He is something different to what we have got. He has got blistering pace - he is a little bit naove at times and he has to learn the game, but then again, he is only 23. "He has got 30 caps for his country and Egypt are ninth in the world. We need time with him to let him settle in, but he has hit the ground running. I know he wants to be a player - he has got a great attitude for it." Elmohamady was substituted 33 minutes into Saturday's 1-1 draw with Wigan after a heavy challenge, but has returned to training and should be fit for Saturday's visit of Arsenal to Wearside.
