Bruce takes Ternent to Sunderland as ex-Burnley boss takes job as a scout

Sunderland manager Steve Bruce has handed a scouting role to former Burnley boss Stan Ternent.
Ternent is a Sunderland fan and worked for Bruce at Birmingham City and at Wigan Athletic.
The 63-year-old's first coaching role was with the Wearside club after retiring as a player and he went on to have spells in charge of Blackpool, Hull City, Bury, Burnley, Gillingham and Huddersfield.
