Sunderland boss Steve Bruce has hailed Benfica defender David Luiz as a star of the future.[LNB] Luiz, 23, has been strongly linked with a move to Real Madrid, Chelsea and Manchester City this summer after playing a vital part in Benfica's championship-winning season last term.[LNB]Madrid have since distanced themselves from the 23-year-old after claiming their valuation of the player is too high.[LNB]But Bruce believes the versatile defender would be ideally suited to a top Premier League club. [LNB]He said: "I am surprised this kid is not in the Brazil national squad.[LNB]"He is a good footballer with pride, fight and quality. This type of footballer is wanted in England because his style is very English.[LNB]"It doesn't surprise me that Chelsea and Manchester City are interested because David Luiz is a footballer capable of playing for the best teams in the world.[LNB]"He is a leader and I believe he would do very well in the Premier League."
