Sunderland boss Steve Bruce admits he will not rush fit-again goalkeeper Craig Gordon back into action due to the form of Simon Mignolet.[LNB] Gordon made his comeback for Sunderland reserves on Monday night after two months on the sidelines with a broken arm.[LNB]The Scotland international admitted after coming through the reserve outing that he was targeting a return to first-team action against Manchester United this weekend.[LNB]"I am back in training and doing exactly what the other goalkeepers are doing. It is nice to be back in the group," said Gordon.[LNB]"My target is the Manchester United game.[LNB]"Assuming I have come through the reserve game unscathed, I could be available for the weekend."[LNB]However, Bruce is not prepared to take any chances with the keeper, with Mignolet proving a more than capable deputy.[LNB]"With Simon's form being as it is it would be stupid to rush Craig back," said Bruce. "He's trained for a week and played his first game last night. The more he trains the better he will become.[LNB]"The competition is fierce at the moment and that's great. As a manager I want two people in every position.[LNB]"Simon's form at the moment has enabled us to not rush Craig back when maybe we might have done before."
